I couldn’t resist saying a massive thanks for a brilliant night at
Felixstowe, I admit I’m only 27 and had never heard of The Christians and my boyfriend was raving about coming to see you as he saw you ten years ago. I just thought I was in for a night of grin and bare it thinking only 2 hours of boredom but boy did you guys explode real music into my head. Honestly the people in Felixstowe missed out and there loss. You guys put the real soul into music.IV been telling everybody about you guys and to be fair everyone IV spoken too (and that’s a lot as I don’t shut up) didn’t know that you guys where playing at Felixstowe. You where fantastic. IV already bought your best hits album and will get your dvd soon. Please don’t stop the good work and come back to Felixstowe if you do another tour! Thanks for showing me musical talent it’s been a long time since I heard it.

And the worst thing is I had to admit to my boyfriend that he was
right, you guys are good !! That never happens and he’s made me suffer ever since

Karen

Hope your tour is going well and your playing to bigger audiences than the superb gig at the Spa Pavilion Felixstowe. I don't know if you remember us but we were the three rowdy blokes at the back who had a chat with you after the concert and bought some cd's, which incidentally are bucking excellent and I have not stopped playing them!

Hope one day you can play the regent Ipswich which holds about 1600
people.

R you playing any summer festivals?

We have all been fans from the beginning and your music was something
different and I still find it hard to define perhaps soul, gospel, rock, blues with a touch of electronica? Whatever it sounds great!

We are wondering about Gary's background and where did your influences come from? Oh are you blue or red as we are all big footy fans two of us support Ipswich Town and the other Man Utd - booooo, but he changes sides every 10 years depending on their league position!

Another question; what about Gary's brother who was in the group. Why is he not in it now? Hope you have not fallen out? You don't have to answer that one if it's personal.

Be good to see some photos of the tour posted to the website.

We all decided on the way back from the gig that if any of us win the
lottery we shall pay the group a large sum of money to play the gig at the huge celebration party in some hot and sunny place. Don't hold your breath! Although my old man got 5 numbers up at the weekend for a poxy £700 what an insult!

All the best and I shall keep checking out your site and post the odd
e-mail, if that's ok.

Ade, Chris & Karl.

Saw you in body bag country (Edmonton)the other night. Really
enjoyable show but make sure next time you leave the audience standing at the end.Or alternatively get em standing from the off! Spoke to you afterwards keep the promise of the new album! All the best with the tour.
Dave

Saw you thursday night at the felixstowe spa ( i live in Lowestoft
so we made the trek.) Its the 3rd time i've seen you, i think that your vocals struggled last night, but was impressed how you carried on, especially after you had said you had been unwell. Good on you , for being professional and letting the show go on. Enjoyed the gig,and will be there next time. Get well soon
p.s where was your hat?
Gail

Just looked on the msgs lists and opened the Dartford one....I
can't believe people mentioned 'shame about the poor sound'!There was
nothing wrong with it,it was amazing! There were a few annoying little fuzzy sounds coming from the speaker on the left of the stage while Black were playing but I never noticed anything while you were on!You all sounded perfect to us and we were right near the back. The show was just too good to take your mind off it and notice anything else.Grrrrrr@the moaners!
Barbara

WOW!We saw you at the Orchard Theatre Dartford,on your
birthday! What a fantastic night.I was shocked to see so few people there but I was
sooooooo pleased at the same time because it made it all that much more special. My daughter bought the tickets for us,my kids used to play MY video of yours, non stop! She's only 17 and like me,she loves you and your music!I must tell you something...there's a bit on that video where you have no sun glasses on and at the end of the song you open youe eyes briefly...well,I melted when I saw 'em! lol!By the way,I can't believe you're 52...just can't believe it.Anyway, good luck for now and always, everything about you is just gorgeous. You're a lovely bloke xxx PS I'll be buying your new album...looking forward to it very much. Thanks for everything.

Rhyl rocks !! Rolling Eyes

Well - not exactly, but it was jam packed full of soul last night.

On a cold, very wet night, we were warmed by the boys once again. I love your singing, I love your sense of humour, I feel your commitment to the audience - it's just a pity that they took sooooo long to stand up and join in! - and it wasn't for Garry's lack of trying.

We sat in our seats whilst watching Black - who was superb by the way, but after the break, we moved seats from quite near the front, to the back, so that we could stand up and dance through your set. It is a much better way of connecting with your music I find.

I heard the funniest thing ever last night when Garry took his usual 'where am I - what am I doing next' stance between songs. Someone shouted out to him 'Rhyl --- mike --- sing' short and sweet and hysterically funny. I wonder if he was the same man who had his 'mates' in his pocket when Garry asked for us to all bring our friends with us next time.

The evening went oh so quickly and we were left once again wanting more. Thanks to Garry and the lads, and Bobby - I'm so glad you kept awake long enough to see the set through!! Babies and teething take their toll as you are finding out!!

See you all again soon, and keep up the good work. Still hoping for another Alicia gig this year - any chance?

Lynne S xxx

PS - Andrew - where were you? The bar was empty without you!!
